As many of you know, a number of months ago, I developed a chronic medical condition which precluded me from being able to care for patients. I was hoping to recover adequately enough to resume practice. Unfortunately, in spite of aggressive medical treatment and physical therapy, it has become clear that it will not be possible for me to return to practice.
Initially, Dr. Karin Flynn-Rodden, an allergist who I helped train when she was a fellow at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, was able to cover my practice and follow my patients. However, she will no longer be able to do this. Consequently, it will be necessary to close my practice.
In order for you to continue to receive good continuity and excellent quality of care, I have asked the allergists and immunologists at The Asthma Center to take responsibility of my patients' medical records and recommend that you continue your care at their office. The doctors at The Asthma Center are nationally recognized experts in allergy, asthma, sinus and immunologic issues with an extensive list of publications, and are affiliated with Penn Medicine. I deeply regret not being able to return to practice. I will very much miss providing you care and will personally miss seeing many of you over the years.
